New custom cover coming soon...

Thats right. In a day or 2 I'm going to be starting a new custom cover. Not for sure what it will be. But the cover will be of something from the 80s or early 90s WWF.

It will be about my first cover since doing the TLC 2009 one back a few months ago. So expect some more information on it here in the next day or so.

WIP's coming February 11th

Thats right coming 2-11-2010 will be many WIP's of my Royal Rumble 1992 custom cover, the cover by then will be finished and released. Following day I will show off the WIP's. Expect at least 10 shown.

Also don't expect anything on a Royal Rumble 2010 cover, just didn't have the time to work on one, and didn't have any good ideas. Though things could always change and maybe I'll come up with something in the next few days, because I sure the hell want to do a Rumble cover.

Oh and expect a small update to the blog i.e updated logo and so on. Along with some more exclusive content.

Update

Some big news for any and all fans of my blog. I will now start releasing exclusive content here on my Wrestling DVD Covers blog!

And the content will not be limited to only "dvd" content, and I plan to release some logos and images. Of course for some people to maybe use towards their own wrestling covers.

I hope people like the content I post.

Update: Coming Soon...

Some time early in the new year I plan on starting a second blog that will feature movie covers, scans and posters.

Also I will have a third blog for video game covers, scans and everything. With 100s of video game magazines I know I have quite alot to offer.

Plus on top of that I might do some other blog or two, but not for sure. I hope to get all of these off the ground and running in early 2010, hopefully in January. I'll keep this blog updated for when they will be up and going.

Great News...

Some good news, I have finally got a new scanner, will be uploading many scans and doing some psd's. And of course will finally have whats needed scanned for the covers I've been wanting to do.

So look forward to some covers in the near future.

Current projects..

Working on a CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy cover that someone requested, and will be working on a Royal Rumble 88 cover very soon.

Looks like I might end up not doing a HIAC cover due to still not being able to get photoshop to work. So hopefully some time next week I'll reformatt my pc and get photoshop up and going, and be back to making some covers.

Update: OK some better news...

Well I was planning on taking a break, but I think I've changed my mind. I did have my PC crash the other day and had to have everything recovered, thus photoshop wont work, have already uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still wont work right, so I'll keep playing around with that, if it wont work at all I'll have to reformatt my pc. That of course sucks but I'll just need to save a few things to dvd and it wont be much of a problem, PC needs it anyway.

So I do plan on doing a HIAC cover, and plan on doing a Bragging Rights cover, along with a couple of Survivor Series covers.

And I do still have alot of wip's to show off, they will all be shown in due time.

Update: taking a break

Just letting people know I am taking a break from cover making for the rest of the month, and will get back to making covers in November, when I make a couple Survivor Series covers.

My first award winning cover: Summerslam 2009

I finally won my first WCF award, the EOTM for most official cover for Summerslam 2009. Topping that off I was the first ever co-winner along side Rated R. Hopefully I can only get better on route to finally winning a COTM award.

Another update

As said about a week ago, I was going to be showing off a bunch of Summerslam WIP's. Well that is still going to happen, I just had a set back, due to losing internet for about a week.

Some good news is during that time I would say I added about 25+ WIP's to the already 25+ WIP's I already had. So look forward to many previews coming soon.

Also, I made some videos as well, which I'll be uploading to youtube soon, and I'll post those here.

An update, I have finished 2 of my Summerslam 09 retro covers, both are shown on the WCF site, fulls have yet to be released but they are coming very soon. Plus more Retros are coming soon as well. So anyway back to the topic at hand, I have alot of WIP's to show off for the retros and the custom I've been working on (thats not finished). Don't know if I'll show the WIP's today or tomorrow. Anyway in the least I have about 20+ WIP's to show.

Just wanted to say that today I'll be uploading ALOT of WIP previews of the Summerslam covers I've been working on. As I said Summerslam 09 would be my most shown off cover here WIP wise.

So whats that mean for here? It means in the mean time I'm going to be getting covers ready, and I'll be getting covers reposted for the new site, due to that most full covers I had posted on some sites, well are kind of hard to see due to the site being shit, like picpanda. Place never works. So look for some fulls to be posted soon.

Update on being "delayed"

Yes I am somewhat still "delayed" making covers, because of the fact that PSDprotocol is still lacking alot of its PSD's, but they are working hard, so hopefully in due time the needed PSD's will be on their site for use.

But in the mean time I'm some what working on the building stages or like templates of the Summerslam covers, hence why all thats shown is the background/font/logo thats about it.

So its not that I cant work on covers, its just that I need to work around and build around the PSD's that wont be there for a while.

Minor delay...

I would be working on my Summerslam covers, but at the moment for the past few days now the psdprotocol site has been down, and now being rebuilt, so once they get all the needed content back, I'll be back to work on some covers. But I might be working on some template type stuff for the covers, so there may or may not be a WIP preview today or tomorrow, of the other covers besides the v1 cover shown so far.

Taking a break...

OK not really.. But I have sort of been taking a break from making covers after getting the Survivor Series 2001 cover finished. I have though been brain storming about my Night of Champions cover. Still dunno if I'll even do one.

I do have some early NOC wip's made up, but those wont be released any time soon, unless I get a feel of the cover I want to make and so on, they will be released some day though.

Update: Summerslam 1989 WIP

Haven't shown any new previews on the Summerslam 89' cover, and with reason I haven't been working on it. But I now have another set back with it. I had thought I saved all the psd/cuts I done from the program, and instead all I have is whats on the cover psd. So to really do anything else with the cover I might need to re cut Hogan/Beefcake, Savage/Zeus/Sherri, and I already had Warrior/Rude done and will need to do those again as well.

There big 600dpi cuts so they take time.

And yes once the cuts get done again....They will be uploaded to psdprotocol.
