WWF WWF King of the Ring 1993

My latest American convert DVD done, WWF King of the Ring 1993, I had got this video case about a month or so ago and as soon as I got it I started on this project, but the project was sort of put on hold over the past month.

So with nothing to do today I put a good 3-5+ hours into finishing it.

King of the Ring (1993) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). The event resulted from the WWF's decision to make its annual King of the Ring tournament into a televised event. It took place on June 13, 1993 at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio. The card featured ten matches, which resulted from scripted storylines and had results predetermined by the WWF.

The central focus of this PPV event was the tournament itself. Wrestlers gained entry in to the tournament by participating in qualifying matches on WWF television programs, and the second, third and fourth rounds of the tournament were televised on the King of the Ring PPV broadcast. Bret Hart won the tournament by defeating Razor Ramon, Mr. Perfect, and Bam Bam Bigelow. He was attacked by Jerry Lawler during a coronation ceremony, which led to a feud that lasted more than two years. In addition to the tournament, the event featured Yokozuna defeating Hulk Hogan for the WWF Championship as well as Shawn Michaels retaining his belt in match against Crush for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

Reviews of the event have been mainly positive. Several reviewers have called Bret Hart's matches the highlight of the PPV. The match for the Intercontinental Championship has received positive reviews, but the ending to the WWF Championship match, which featured Hulk Hogan in his final PPV appearance in the WWF until 2002, has been criticized. The event was attended by 6,500 fans — the lowest attendance of any King of the Ring event. The PPV buyrate, however, was the highest of any King of the Ring event until 1999. The event has been released on VHS in North America and on VHS and DVD in the United Kingdom.

Future Project: Wrestlemania 1

Maybe not my very next project, but one I'll be working on soon is Wrestlemania 1. Not only will I be making a very high res one of the official VHS, in other words a convert, but also I hope to do a custom one, which no one has done that I know of.

WIP cover #1

Another first of a series of covers that I will show is my WIP (work in progress) covers.

This is a early convert of WWF King of the Ring 1993, as you can see I have a ways to go, I've been working on this a few weeks now, but I've been side tracked by alot of stuff, and mean while trying to finish the Extreme Rules cover.

WWF WWE Wrestlemania 7 convert

Another one of my early converts, and one of my favs. This I think was my first Wrestlemania convert, I also have a custom of it I'll be posting later. Also a 2nd version.

WrestleMania VII was the seventh annual WrestleMania professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). It took place on March 24, 1991 at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California. WrestleMania VII was originally supposed to be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, but it was decided to move the event to the adjacent Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. The World Wrestling Federation's stated reason for the venue change was that a threat had been issued towards the company in the wake of Sgt. Slaughter's portrayal of an Iraqi sympathizer; others have cited slow ticket sales.

The tagline for the event was "Superstars and Stripes Forever," and is remembered for its theme of American patriotism. American flags were hung all over the arena and the ring apron and banners were colored red, white, and blue, which was the basis for the main event between Hulk Hogan and Sgt. Slaughter for the WWF Championship. WrestleMania VII is remembered for the emotional reunion between "Macho Man" Randy Savage and his manager, Miss Elizabeth, which occurred following "The Ultimate Warrior getting his Ultimate Win" (as Henry Winkler put it on the broadcast) over Savage in a "Retirement Match". The theme song to this event, "Worldwide Spectacle", was written by WWF's internal composer, Jim Johnston.

This might be my first custom "convert" I redid the whole thing, the official convert will be posted later. The only thing custom about this is that it features the Ultimate Warrior on it, and has the Ultimate Warrior wrote in on the IC title match with Honky Tonk Man, in the official its suppose to be Beefcake.

SummerSlam (1988) was the first annual SummerSlam professional wrestling pay-per-view event. It was produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and took place on August 29, 1988 in Madison Square Garden, located in New York, New York. The pay-per-view was created to help the company compete against rival promotion World Championship Wrestling (formally Jim Crockett Promotions). It was one of the first four annual pay-per-view events produced by the WWF, along with WrestleMania, the Royal Rumble, and Survivor Series. Reviews for the event were mixed.

Ten professional wrestling matches, performances with pre-determined outcomes between wrestlers with fictional personalities that are portrayed as real, were featured. The main match of the preliminary bouts was the WWF Intercontinental Championship match between The Ultimate Warrior and the reigning champion The Honky Tonk Man. The Ultimate Warrior won the match in approximately thirty seconds to end the longest Intercontinental Championship reign up to that point. The main event was a match pitting The Mega Powers (Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage) against their long-time rivals, The Mega Bucks (Ted DiBiase and André the Giant). Hogan and Savage won the match after Miss Elizabeth, Savage's wife and manager, distracted the referee by removing her skirt to reveal her underwear. After SummerSlam, Hogan and Savage were scripted to begin an on-screen feud, culminating at WrestleMania V, where Hogan won the WWF Championship from Savage

SummerSlam (1989) was the second annual SummerSlam professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). It took place on August 28, 1989 in the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The main event was a tag team match between The Mega-Maniacs (WWF Champion Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake) and the team of Randy Savage and Zeus. The main matches on the undercard were Ted DiBiase versus Jimmy Snuka, Ultimate Warrior versus Rick Rude for the WWF Intercontinental Championship and Jim Duggan and Demolition (Ax and Smash) versus André the Giant and The Twin Towers (Akeem and Big Boss Man).

This was done a while ago, I really think it turned out awesome, in the future I want to do it again, maybe even use magazine scans to make it even more detailed.

Of course this cover has a typo, but until I can find the psd of this it will always have the typo. Or at least until I do this cover again.

Survivor Series (1987) was the first Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). It took place on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1987 at the Richfield Coliseum in Richfield, Ohio.

The main event was a Survivor Series match where André the Giant's team defeated Hulk Hogan's team when André eliminated Hogan's team member Bam Bam Bigelow. The entire undercard featured Survivor Series matches which included Randy Savage's team defeating The Honky Tonk Man's team, The Fabulous Moolah's team defeating Sensational Sherri's team and Strike Force with 4 other tag teams defeating The Hart Foundation and 4 other tag teams.
